Empowering the future
At Peregrine Capital, we believe investing responsibly means investing in our youth. Our flagship CSI initiative, 24SumMore, is designed to make maths exciting, engaging, and confidence-building for learners. What started as a pilot programme in Gauteng in 2025 has sparked a nationwide movement to reimagine maths as something exciting, challenging, competitive and social.
"When kids enjoy maths, they gain confidence. This confidence becomes the foundation for future excellence," says Jacques Conradie, CEO of Peregrine Capital and a former national maths24 champion.
From Pilot to National Rollout
Based on the popular "24 Game" format, the competition rewards quick thinking, strategy, and mental agility — bringing joy and energy back into the maths classroom.

Going National
What began as a 54-school pilot in Gauteng in 2025 has grown into a national competition. In 2026, learners in Grades 4 to 6 from more than 300 schools across South Africa took up the challenge: combine four numbers using addition, subtraction, multiplication or division to make 24, faster than a calculator can.
After progressing through the competition's stages, including their semi-final wins, 36 finalists from across the country will go head-to-head for the 2026 24SumMore title. With the clock running, it will take speed, strategy and mental agility to make 24 fast enough to be crowned national champion.
The final takes place on Thursday, 29 October 2026 at 12:30, at St Andrew's School for Girls in Bedfordview, Johannesburg. The national champion will win R25 000 in a Peregrine Capital investment account, plus R25 000 for their school.
For Peregrine Capital, 24SumMore is more than a CSI programme: it is an investment in capability. Our aim remains to foster a generation of confident problem-solvers: young minds who see maths not as a challenge to fear, but a skill to celebrate.
How It Works
The 24SumMore challenge is a game-based maths competition that promotes speed, logic, and teamwork. At the heart of the competition is a fast-paced card game that challenges players to use addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division to make 24 by combining all four numbers on a card. The game enhances problem-solving skills and sharpens mental maths ability, and makes learning engaging
Why Maths Matters
Maths teaches learners how to think critically, solve problems, and see patterns in the world around them.
Through 24SumMore, Peregrine Capital is showing that with encouragement and creativity, every learner can develop these essential life skills.

Investing in the Future Starts Here
At Peregrine Capital, we measure success not only in returns but in impact.
Through 24SumMore, we’re proving that with the right encouragement, young South Africans can find joy in learning, pride in achievement, and a lifelong love of numbers. And for the winners, to teach them about the impact of compound investing and to help them stay invested in their futures.
Because the best investments are the ones that multiply.
