Brian "Boris" Kourie joined Peregrine Capital in July 2026 as part of the distribution team, covering the Garden Route and Eastern Cape. He holds a BCom Honours in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg. Boris spent 25 years in institutional equity markets, working with South Africa's leading institutions as well as global asset managers, hedge funds and sovereign wealth funds. He began his career at Barnard Jacobs Mellet in South Africa and London, joined RMB Morgan Stanley at the inception of the joint venture, where he spent eight years, and most recently headed Absa's institutional equity sales trading business. Boris now focuses on building long-term partnerships with financial advisers and wealth managers in his region, bringing an institutional market perspective to their investment conversations.
